Familiar faces have returned for the Dark Knight Rises, Christian Bale has resumed his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman but has also confirmed that this will be his last Batman movie. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman have both returned to play the roles of Batmans most trusted allies Alfred and Lucius Fox. Liam Neeson is even rumored to have filmed some scenes as Ras AL Ghul a character he portrayed many years ago. New faces are those of Tom Hardy as the evil Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle or Catwoman.

Plot

The movie is based eight years after the Dark Knight, Batman has taken responsibility for Harvey Dents crimes following his death resulting in his disappearance as he is being hunted by the Gotham Police Department. He returns to Gotham City to try and stop his nemesis Bane from destroying the City where he also meets the mysterious Selina Kyle.

Costume design

Lindy Hemming has also returned to do the costumes for the final movie after overseeing the first two. She describes Banes mask as a necessity as it releases analgesic gas to help him cope with pain from an earlier injury. She also designed Banes coat, Catwomans suit and of course Batmans suit.

Music

Hans Zimmer has also confirmed that he will be returning for the final movie, he and Nolan have worked together many times before. Zimmer has spoken freely about a chant that will be in the movie, he said he wanted hundreds of thousands of voices chanting, this would have been a nightmare long ago to achieve but with the reach of social media he was able to record this successfully.

After Effect

Many fans will be at a loss once the final movie has been released, there has been so much anticipation and excitement during the buildup fans will be asking who, what, when is the next. There has been no real news as to who the next director will be or even who will replace Bale as Batman.
